Susan
weaves her passion for kids, teaching, and the arts
into her role as Director of
KidsConnection, the children's ministry of
DFMC. Drawing upon her experiences as a
dramatic story performer and teacher and her studies
in Youth Ministry and Art Education (B.S. Degrees
from Greenville College, IL) and Communication (M.A.
from Western Michigan University), she seeks to
create a setting inviting connections... with
Jesus and with one another. Susan and her
husband Gary have four very active sons (3 in their
teens!), Josh, Aaron, Justin, and Caleb, and one
energetic Cocker Spaniel. She loves having
time with her wild and crazy whirlwind family,
running, listening, reading, being outdoors, and
dessert (which accounts for interest #2!).

The Welcome Luncheon provides an opportunity for people
new to our church to ask questions and for us to get to
know you.On
a quarterly basis, individuals and families who have
recently started attending are invited to share in a
great meal following our
11:00 a.m. worship service.
